Are we ready to discuss the Trauma caused by White Supremacy in Education?

Using a Curriculum that centers Whiteness is harmful. When are we going to stop pretending that "school" was created as a safe space for all? Safety goes beyond what occurs in a physical space. Are we providing emotional safety, as well?

When Black students and students of color learn their history from a white narrative, they receive an incomplete story and inaccurate information. Imagine what it does to one's self-esteem to constantly view themselves as "the underdog" or to not be seen at all?

Educators, using what is simply given to you is not enough. Do research. Bring in a diverse group of advisors. (Authors often LOVE to speak to students. )
